Registration
- Age requirement: 13 years of age before Dec. 2008, or going into the 8th grade by fall 2008.
- If you meet the age requirement and have not been baptized, you can recieve both sacraments in the teen catechism program
- The candidate and parent must read the Teen Catechism packet. If you agree to all of the information, please return the application and permission slip together with the registration fee to the youth office. If candidate has been baptized, we will need a copy of the certificate in order to process the registration. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
10 Month Process
- We meet every Thursday from 6:30 - 8:00pm, except for the first Thursday of the month. Teens will also be asked to participate in other parish events and activities, a calendar will be provided at the begining of the program. Teens that have not been baptized will have an additional session per month. The program begins on Thursday, September 25, 2008, all parents must attend this first session.
Test (Interview)
- Every candidate will be required to take a test on prayers and other related material discussed in class. Class/Mass attendance, and community service hours will also be factors in determining if the candidate will recieve his or her first communion.
Fees
- There is a $150.00 program fee, which must be paid upon registration. There will be no refunds after the first day of class. In addition, all families will be required to sell a book of raffle tickets which contains (30 $1 tickets) for the parish fiesta.

Youth Day
- Youth day is a Los Angeles Archdiocese sponsored event, where thousands of high school teen from the Los Angeles area gather for a day of workshops, prayer, praise, and worship. This event will be held on Thursday, February 26th, 2008. We will be leaving Santa Rosa at 5:00am and returning at 5:00pm. Transportation will be provided. Many school are already aware of this event and it is an excused abscence from school, and notes for school will be available upon request. This event is mandatory for all the candidates in our program.
Faith Companion/Sponsor
- Teens may select a faith companion; however this is not a requirement
Faith companion must be
- 16 years of age or older
- A confirmed participating Catholic
- If married, must be married by the Catholic Church
What is expected of the Faith Companion?
- Must be a good role model
